Design Philosophy Design Phase:
The client needs guidance at the design stage to make valued decisions based upon actual cost implications. This attention to detail at the outset of the design/build process saves costly overruns and change orders during the construction phase that can escalate the final price of the home outside the client's original budget.
Construction Phase:
Since the architect and the builder are the same person, the client has the comfort of knowing all the details in the design phase will be accomplished in the construction phase without the miscommunications and cost overruns that are often experienced in the traditional (triangular: client/architect/builder) approach.
Studio 4 Inc. is licensed under its parent company, R. Lightell Corp., by the State Board of Contractors in the State of Louisiana, and is a member of the St. Tammany Home Builders Association, and the National Association of Home Builders.

Rudy Lightell brings an exceptional background to Studio 4 Inc.
As a graduate from the School of Architecture of Louisiana State University with a Bachelors degree, he has been in the construction industry since 1979.
During the years prior to Studio 4, Inc., he practiced architecture with notable firms in the Metro area, where he has designed and overseen construction of several multi-million dollar projects.
After designing and constructing his personal home where he utilized the design/build process (instead of the traditional approach of hiring an architect and then seeking a builder for the plans), he experienced the many advantages of the process for himself.
Combining the design/build process with his extensive experience in the construction industry, he decided to begin Studio 4 Inc. offering his clients a direct relationship with the architect and builder as a single person. |
